April 29, 2008

The last time that we saw our stuff. The movers drove away with everything.

Since then:

30 days spent living with mom and dad. Cost to us: free, but all 4 of us shared one room.

17 days spent staying at the Inn at Davis Monthan A.F.B., Tucson Arizona. $378.00 dollars

1 night spent on a Boeing 767 while leaving the United States, June 14. (on the government's dime)

61 nights spent at Plaza el Bosque, Santiago Chile. (also courtesy of the US government)

109 nights (total) spent living out of 2 suitcases and using only 2 pair of shoes. OK 3. No 4. But flip flops don't really count.

First night spent in our new apartment: Absolutely freaking PRICELESS!

You're in your apartment now? Hooray.

I felt sad watching all your belongings drive away not knowing when you'd see them next.

I am thrilled you are reunited.

YAY!!! :)

I'm in awe of you - 109 nights without a home. I'd have gone crazy. Having only 2 pairs of shoes would have tipped me over the edge! :)

Come on over to facebook soon! You'll find it is quite addicting! ;)

Awesome! I bet that was one of the best nights of sleep you have had in your life. Hope things continue to settle down and you can really appreciate your new place.

Now you know how Dorothy felt, "There's no place like home."

Congratualtions on your new home.

OMG - I would have been freaking out watching those crates drive away. That alone would make me need the Valium. I could handle the kids now, but seeing that...NO WAY!

I am sooo happy that it finally made it to you. What a freaky thought, all the what if's...

Suitcases only? You are just an amazing woman I have to tell you!
