Hoy es el dia de los ninos!

Which when translated means, today is the day of the kids. Kind of like mother's day or father's day, except it's all about kids! (sarcastic mommy in me wants to know, what day isn't about the kids?)

Anyway, we went out today and spent some money, bought some rugs. And since it was a bit of a holiday. (I think.) There were TONS of people out and about. First we came to this store:

And this is where I will probably do quite a bit of my grocery shopping. It's called Tottus. They have everything you might need, and then some. Check out this produce section:

And here is another look. Yes, the price tag on that big wheel thing says $54,990. Given a 500 pesos for the dollar exchange rate, that comes out to a whopping $109.98! Umm... can we give momma les some high fives on buying ALL those toys in the good ole U.S. of A. And at a discount. For those of you that know me well, know me well enough to know that I bought them all on sale. I have brand new toys that we haven't even used or taken out of the boxes yet that were 75% off! Yee-haw! Now that I see some of the prices here, I am so glad I bought them!

OK, back to the grocery list: Bread.......... check. Milk.........check. Eggs................check. Cereal......... got it. TV?? Well, if it happens to be on the list, they've got 'em!

And honestly, I have never seen a grocery store with such a large selection of toys. This is a grocery store. It reminded me a bit of Walmart. A bit. More grocery, less Walmart.
Just so you guys can see that I wasn't lying, I took a picture of the mass of people crowded around a young lady giving away free balloons to the kids for the special occasion.
And just in case you wanted to see what my new rugs look like, here are the last pics for today.
New rug for our dining room:

And here is the rug we bought for the entry way, or foyer. Whatever it's called. It seems to have been made for this space.

OK. Now just a reminder.... tomorrow is moving day. Actually the movers will be arriving with our things, our long lost things. I can't wait to see it all again! Wish us luck that it has made the long voyage in one piece!

Blog at ya later~~

Ok, so the grocery store is amazingly clean...are they all that way? I would love to be able to shop that kind of produce section. I am jealous.

What I'm not so jealous about is all the people with all the kids...ahh! Don't get me wrong, I love kids, but that many in one place is a 2 valium trip! LOL

The rugs are amazing, and I'm so excited for you to be able to get moved and settled in. Remember we'll all want pictures!
