Wordful Wednesday, time flies.

I'm not sure if I remember the year this picture was taken, so I am going to guess 2000 or 2001. It's a photo not of Alexa, but my step-daughter Alyssa. I know. I know their names are similar. And for the record I had the name Alex picked out for my daughter back in the late 80's.(For those of you who don't know me well, and wonder about it.)

She was so little. I met her in 1999, at just 13 months old. And she had only 4 teeth.

I do know that these pictures were taken at my mother's house in Tampa. This one was dated 2001. Here is Devon too. I met him just 2 weeks after his 6th birthday. Seems crazy to me.

This one was taken at Seaside (I think it was called) down in Miami.

All I want to say is that time flies. This next picture was taken December 31, 2008 at my mom's house in Tucson, AZ.
Alyssa is now going to be starting the 5th grade. She turns 11 at the end of the year. Devon likes to ride dirt bikes, motor bikes, is quite enamored with the young ladies and loves talking on his cell phone. He turns 16 (*gasp*gasp*cough*choke*) at the end of this year. Wow.

You really feel the passing of time when you have kids. :) They grow up in a blink of an eye.

Yes, it does fly. Watching kids grow really makes that point. They are lovely kids.

Love that series of photos!

My son and one of my nieces are on the brink of being teenagers. Seems like just yesterday that they were babies!

Just wrote a post yesteray (on my son's 32nd b'day) about how quickly our babies grow up. We're so busy raising them that we don't really have the time to stop and smell the roses - that's why being a Nana is so awesome!!

Come visit when you can & have a great Wordless Wednesday!

Yes, time really does fly by so quickly. Enjoy the babies while they are little--it doesn't last very long. That's why I have taken so many photos. It just seems like yesterday when you guys were little and into everything.
Love;
Mom

Such beautiful babes! Love your blog...new here :) You are so right...one minute we are potty-training, then losing teeth, and the next minute they care about fashion! What! Our daughter asked me yesterday while we were at a garage sale, if I would buy her some mary kay lipstick! For Pete's Sake! I don't even buy myself Mary Kay lipstick..I am lucky if my mom gives me freebies that she decides she doesnt want LOL. The only "pampering Me" product I buy and won't budge on is my Topricin foot cream!! I get such achy feet from chasing kids around all day and I love this stuff- plus it is natural :) Anyway- daughter will have to save her tooth fairy money if she keeps up with her expensive tastes! hahaha! smilinggreenmom.com
